چکیده

The review focused on technique of solid self-emulsifying pellets (SEPs) for solubility enhancement poorly water soluble drug. oral route administration has been and still is currently the primary drug delivery owing to its potential advantages compared other routes. process hydrophobic drugs plays a key role in formulation development achieve bioavailability therapeutic action at target site.1 Around 40% probe new are characterized as belonging class II BCS classification (poorly highly permeable), giving rise poor erratic bioavailability. SEPs system combines liquid Self emulsifying with those dosage form, which can overcome limitations formulations improve storage stability patient compliance. To enhance dissolution absorption insoluble selfmicroemulsifying develop evaluated. showed significant quicker redispersion rate than commercial tablets. might be an encouraging strategy Poorly extrusion–spheronization method feasible technology solidification SMEPs. microemulsifying effective pharmaceutical widely used during recent years have some successful products market (e.g. Neoral®, Norvir® Fortovase®).

Solubility Enhancement of Poorly Water Soluble Drugs by Solid Dispersion

Solid dispersions have been employed to enhance the dissolution rates of poorly water-soluble drugs. Many approaches have been investigated for the preparation of solid dispersions. This paper reports the various solubility enhancement strategies in solid dispersion. The approaches described are fusion (melting), solvent evaporation, lyophilization (freeze drying), melt agglomeration process, e...

Emerging Liquisolid Compact Technology for Solubility Enhancement of BCS Class-II Drug

Diazepam possesses potent anti-epileptic, anti-anxiety activity and also indicated for the treatment of insomnia. It is very slightly soluble in water and shows poor dissolution. Presently, liquisolid compact technique is found to be used extensively as one of the successful tool to enhance the solubility and dissolution of various poorly soluble drugs. The principle focus of this study is to f...

Solubility Enhancement of a Poorly Water Soluble Drug by Forming Solid Dispersions using Mechanochemical Activation

Mechanochemical activation is a practical cogrinding operation used to obtain a solid dispersion of a poorly water soluble drug through changes in the solid state molecular aggregation of drug-carrier mixtures and the formation of noncovalent interactions (hydrogen bonds) between two crystalline solids such as a soluble carrier, lactose, and a poorly soluble drug, indomethacin, in order to impr...

Solid Dispersion - a Novel Approach for Enhancement of Bioavailability of Poorly Soluble Drugs in Oral Drug Delivery System

It has been estimated that nearly 35-40 % of drugs suffer from poor aqueous solubility and it affects the absorption of drug from gastrointestinal tract that leads to high inter and intra subject variability, poor oral bioavailability, increase in dose, reduction in therapeutic efficiency and finally failure in formulation development. Various formulation strategies like micronization, solubili...

Solubility Enhancement of Poorly Water Soluble Celecoxib for Parenteral Formulations

Celecoxib, a diaryl substituted pyrazole, is practically insoluble in water which precludes its use in parenteral and liquid dosage forms. This study explores the solubility enhancement of celecoxib using hydrotropy and cosolvency solubilization approaches. The equilibrium solubility studies were performed using hydrotropes piperazine, sodium citrate, and urea and cosolvents PEG 200, PEG 400, P...
